self portrait, grunge portraits?

Was shooting for more bluesy/folksy rock in these.

In that case, i'd say you nailed it with #3.

Interesting shots, but you might try dropping the camera angle to be even with the waist /chest areas. Fashion and music are often shot like this so that you are artificially looking up at the subject. It will make a subtle change in the perception of the viewer.

Often when this is done the viewer may interpret the image as of someone who is important, artisitc, driven, etc. I know that all of those are highly subjective, but try it and ask others to view and get their verbal reactions.

Thank you for the suggestions! I will try that for sure!! I want to do one from a very low angle where the artist is walking away with the guitar on his back!

the last one looks good but i dont like how the blueish layer comes over half of his head, if you cut that back so his head was all the same tone / shade, personally, think it would look better.
