Okay, you win...when in very white clothing with no arm holes, I will bat my eyes and ask them for a frontal zipper...(I hope it's off white though...it's after labor day)...

Thanks Peregrin, Dante..

I was somehow talked into managing this monster of a project, with a more-than-reasonable chance of success projected (or I would never have signed for it in the first place). Found out yesterday we are headed for the trainwreck, or should I say in this time and age planewreck. Full bore down the runway and then you realize someone put the roadblocks halfway down. Tough luck. Too slow to take off in time and too fast to hit the brakes.

I am kinda glad I have the L glass.. that may well be the exit strategy. Anybody need a suffering hack of a photojournalist?

Headed in now to see what I can salvage.

Thanks... I do hope so too. I'll do what I can.

Looks like calicokat and I both have some firefighting to do today

I was sorta joking with a friend last night "This lends new meaning to DO NOT BREAK GLASS in case of emergency.. " :p

no, this is so gay. but anyway, ive been staring at the box all day. you see the packages that come through here get kept at the front desk if you arnt there to sign for them when the UPS guy gets there (which no one is going to tell you when that is). so anyway, before you can get your package, someone has to verify and write package slips for them before you can get them. and, i guess to promote "fairness" they do it all at once, so you cant get the package till they do this. which today hasnt happened yet, because A. there was a fire drill, B. they are too friggen lazy to do it at 3oclock when the packages actually GET HERE, and C. the guy who apparently is authorised to do it is in class right now. im pissed. i might not be able to get it till tommorow now.

The Elementary Rule #1.1 of project management.
Before you even start, identify two key stakeholders:
(1) the scapegoat, should things go sour. (That must not be you)
(2) the winner, if the project succeeds. (That must be you).

So, if the project derails big time, you must fire the "scapegoat", and then you the "winner" need to have the plan B ready. At that time you must also request a pay raise.

Is there any place you could go and photograph?? Until you were either a: too exhausted to think about it until tomorrow or B: find yourself lost in the woods until tomorrow in which case it won't be the first thing on your mind or the extreme C: get a date, go have an evening out and forget about the camera for a while? (that's almost blasphemy on a photographers forum I realize....)

(p.s. Sorry about the delay Bill...soaringeagle probably would have had an aneurysm if his 5D package had been this late...I think you're handling it rather well!)
