Red-Tailed Hawk

I took these shots at the Fort Worth Zoo, where I was told that this female hawk was hit by a truck and her right wing was severely injured. She can only fly short distances, however, so she will spend her remaining years in the care of the Zoo. Still a beautiful bird. C&C are welcome as always, and thanks!

You certainly can see the damage on the Hawk's wing to the left of the picture, sad to see but at least she is being cared for. Nice capture showing up the details and colour nicely, well done on two good shots.

Aw, poor bird-hate it when wild things are injured by our encroachment in their territory. At least she is alive and being cared for.

I agree; just look up the word encroachment in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of the D/FW metroplex :rolleyes:

Good looking shots, glad to hear she is getting cared for, most birds are not so lucky
