First time posting pics so any comments are welcome. I took these sitting in the balcony with a 70-300mm IS. All are either at ISO 800 or 1600 and handheld (IS is amazing). Wish I was a bit closer, but I'm pretty happy that I got some sharp shots at such a distance. Also the show was no cameras allowed so I had to squeeze shots while security wasn't looking as they were telling people who were taking pics to stop during the whole time. Never caught me once. Lastly, these were passed through NN to cut down some of the noise.

The entire gallery can be found here: http://rellik.zenfolio.com/p26108466/ (external link)

Here are some shots of the better ones:

Hmmm....she really got thick. Still looks pretty good though.

These are fine shots, especially considering your shutter speed limitations!

She looks good for being, what, 35+ yearsold?

Anyway, certainly did well with the conditions you were working under! Luckly you didn't get caught, I'm sure they (the security) would have confiscated your camera or something...Nice! :)

I would have guessed a lingerie commercial for 'tall and large' ... what was she thinking! Surely she doesn't imagine she is Madonna! :-) Great shots but ... [Edit: removed discordant observation.]

those are some nice shots, i think the comments/criticism re her weight though are a bit harsh.

were you not scared about getting caught? would they have dumped your camera?

Thanks for the comments. :)

I think she changed 4-5 outfits in total.

There were actually lots other taking pics, and the most they would do is go up to you and tell you to stop. But I saw other sections and they didn't seem to be that strict. Not once did they take anyone's camera away or tell them to delete their pictures. Not totally enforcing it I suppose as them walking around was distracting enough. But I was extra careful not to be spotted as the lens was pretty long extended.

I think it really depends on the place it was held. I've read stories where in MSG, they got someone to delete their pictures after getting pulled aside. Ironically, the guy got all his pictures back through some file recovery program. :P
