Wow, i've never seen one before. These images are beautiful. Clearly show the colors and why it is named that way. Good job Dan.

That (#2) is a very extraordinary catch, one to be proud of. I have only one shot of this bird, without the rust.

Zip

Thanks Zip. I am quite proud of that one, especially that I had to apply my best stalking methods to get it!

Number two is really great. The colours on this bird are fantastic. I love seeing birds in your area as they approach Texas in fall migration. Thanks!

and I like to see the birds from your area in the spring as they approach Ontario! Favor returned...

Wonderful shot Dan. Did you get this fellow in the east or west end?

It was in the east end, Stephen. For its rather smallish size that park sure can be productive.

Dan I have to agree the second image is awesome I would love to have seen this bird yesterday as this image of yours is the first time that Ive seen one of these birds ,,, now I know where you got to while I was hammering the Golden Plovers

Don't rub it in too much Wayne...you know how much I would've loved to have a chance at those "Golden" beauties:lol: ! At least this "Rusty" beauty was a good compromise!

Excellent photos Dan! And thanks for including the one showing the habitat. I really enjoy those images as much as the close-ups.

Very good shots. I've never seen them look that rusty, very pretty. Great setting too.
