The annual Downs Syndrome awareness walk, known as the Buddy Walk , and my very favorite shooting outing happened today in Portland Maine. I undoubtably will be posting more shots / threads than you all want to look at in the next few days as I PP the hundreds of shots I took today...But my first presentation is the wonderfully delightful boy named Hunter, the son of our own KONA77 ( his wife gave me permission to post this shot)..The second is a little angel of a girl who I have had the pleasure of shooting for 3 years now...watching and playing with this gathering of these absolutly special group of kids is without equal...

Very sweet. :) I've always liked your captures. Having such adorable subjects helps too.

Our Buddy Walk is coming up here in Kansas City, MO USA. My son has a friend with Downs and we always go walk with him. It is a great place to take pictures! There is never a lack of smiles. We all could learn so much from these sweet and happy people.

citymom, jillybean and Dedsen...thanks for looking and comments...dedsen welcome aboard and I'm honored to be the reciepient of your first post........The buddy walks are really as you discribe them ...heart warming events always...People who have been hanging around POTN know I have a grandson whom my wife and I are raising (Myles) who has DS...so we get to experience the joys every day...(such as his insistance that we stop at LL Bean store in Freeport on the way home yesterday and buy a Moose Call so he can get better photos of them and then getting to listen to the sound of moose echoing thru the house for hours last night and waking to it's cheerful sound first thing this morning...) We do have fun and he does keep me young!

Great shots Peachman. We had ours here in Colorado Springs a few weeks ago, but unfortunately I didn't get to shoot much as I was running around after my kids and catching up with people. We had a great turnout this year and actually exceeded our goals for donations and participation. :)

Nice job Peachman, look in your mailbox for some nice coupons to Dunkin Donuts.
Ofcourse, I am partial to the first pic, but the second one is just beautiful. Very nicely done.

Awww amazing shots and really cute. The first is soooo natural and captures a moment and I love it.... the second is good too, although IMO the contrast seems a bit high.... but still two lovely pictures and thankyou for sharing..... :-)
