Off topic alittle...Peachman... is your website new? I dont think I've seen it. Very nice work you have in there. ;)

Thanks ctymom...it's a few months old...my son (myles dad) works in the web field and built this one for me (using something called Flash ?) I like it alot...I need to ad some more catagories and more photos to the existing ones...remove some old ones...pretty easy but need some time to do it...

Great shots Peachman. We had ours here in Colorado Springs a few weeks ago, but unfortunately I didn't get to shoot much as I was running around after my kids and catching up with people. We had a great turnout this year and actually exceeded our goals for donations and participation. :)

I should be talking more and shooting less...I miss some oportunities to connect as much as I would like...My lovely wife, however talks enough for both of us ! Thanks JT

Nice job Peachman, look in your mailbox for some nice coupons to Dunkin Donuts.
Ofcourse, I am partial to the first pic, but the second one is just beautiful. Very nicely done.

I'll be standing by the mail box...

Awww amazing shots and really cute. The first is soooo natural and captures a moment and I love it.... the second is good too, although IMO the contrast seems a bit high.... but still two lovely pictures and thankyou for sharing..... :-)

Ah yes , you are right about the contrast...I may try and rework that one...thanks !

They are beautiful! :) Love those curls!

Those curls are hard to shoot in the resting position...she is a mover!

No, I usually put on tho ol' Sig 70-200 2.8 for this event..it's easier to get these shots with out being to close so they keep doing whatever it is they are doing...even then a parent will see the camera, stop the kid and tell to look at the camera and smile...then the look at me like I'm nuts (which I'm sure I am) when I tell them I get the best shots when the are just doing what kids do...

Lovely shots of some terrific little people. They do pop, very nicely. Nice web site too, really good stuff. I particularly like #4 in the landscapes...

BTW - your pictures are great to look at and the comments a joy to read on your posts.

very cute...both are great captures. love the expression in the first and the action in the second. I haven't been around many DS kids, but the ones I have met have this crazy energy about them...like what the may lack in whatever, is made up by this ability to make everyone around them happier...don't know how to explain it, really. anyway, thanks for sharing again!

Peachman

Great thread! Meet Connor my 18 month old grandson who also has DS. He is an endless source of joy in my life and one of my favorite models. Our Buddy Walk is the end of October, this will be my first one, can't wait for the photo opportunity. Any tips? It is annoying when parents interupt the moment to help you get a better shot. They just don't understand, but always comment and ask how did you got those GREAT shots, wish I could take pictures like that.

What are you talking about !! There is nothing I can tell you about photographing kids...your shots are absolutly wonderful! The hardest thing I find in photographing Downs kids is ther soft skin tones, usually pale and transparent..so it doesn't reflect light well...but you have it down with these photos of your beautiful grandchild...I sure know what you mean about the joy they bring...Myles has taught me a life time of values and understanding in the 6 years he has lived with us..again these photos and your grandchile are the best! please keep in touch...

Wonderful shots! All of them. Beautiful kids and when I've worked with these kids at special olympics, they usually are the happiest most loving of the lot! Great captures and great memories, I'm sure!
