Had the opportunity to shoot for the organisers at this years Colorado round of the Rally America series. Miserable weather on the first day with very slippery mud on a lot of the stages. Made for some interesting shots though.

Iorio rejoins the stage after sliding off

Whereas Conley has a little more of a balance problem. He later crashed out of the event, making a mess of the front end unforuntately.

And finally Comrie-Pickard should probably add "Don't cut" to his notes for next year on this corner.

Nice captures on these. Nicely done. I too agree with the slower shutter speeds but I think you caught some nice action. Well done. The Second one is really nice the colors jsut pop perfectly.

Thanks for the replies guys. Not sure how much slower I'd have been game to go with a 200mm lens and still ensure my keeper rate was up as I was shooting under contract and needed to make sure I got the shots.

The first one is at 1/200th, the second is at 1/250th, the third and fourth 1/320th and the final one at 1/200th.

Normally these shutter speeds are sufficient to give a sense of motion and get the wheel blur, whilst ensuring that I don't lose to many shots due to camera shake.
