Comments are much appreciated. I realize the background is a bit cluttered and distracting.

it looks a little overexposed, but a great shot the little one looks so intent on the sand and the photoappeals to the the touch senses,,, (i can just feel the sand in my hand)

i tried a black and white converstion to loose some of the background (i hope you dont mind)

Nzshrimper, thank you. The grittiness of the sand is what I like about this picture too. It was a really sunny day, so that may be why it got over-exposed a bit. I'll try another raw conversion to see if I can fix it. Thanks for the BW, by the way.

I like the color version... it looks fine on my monitor. What a cute moment to capture.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I like the color version too. I didn't really pay that much attention to the background because that's not what got my attention. From the intent look on his face, I can just hear him going, "ooooohhhhh".

Like those above, the wonderful moment you captured was what I noticed most. The expressions are great!

I think this a great capture. I agree, the background doesn't bother me. Sometimes you have to take what you can get no matter what is happening around the subject. Imagine if you would have told yourself that the background is too distracting and did not take the picture. You wouldn't have had this moment in time.
