Is the crop OK?
How could I have improved this shot?

Any and all criticism and comments welcome!

Crop might be a smidge tight for some people, but I like it

Are you looking to things you can do in post-processing, or things you could have done at capture time?

In case it's the former: the mild tilt to the frame is one thing you could fix in PP if what you've displayed is an already cropped version. Also, I would say that the crop is *just* a smidge tight around his feet.

As for the composition and subject, I find it a very interesting shot, one where I feel certain there is a story behind the child's life which would break my heart if I let it. So - very well done! The nit-picking above is just that - nitpicking.
