Ok no picture one of the only times I have never had it with me. Yesterday leaving the marina I saw`what appeared to be small/med sized dog turned out to be a bird.

It was huge, black or dark brown body with a bright red head and neck. Any ideas what kind of species?

Are there turkey vultures in Southern Ontario, Canada? That was my initial thought since it was mean looking and looked like it had a turkey head.

I'm sure it was like that. The eye was really noticeable, almost yellow like and the head really red. I think it was eating something. It looked the size of an adult eagle, maybe even bigger.
