The largest tern in the world is the Caspian Tern. They are 19-21" and have a wingspan of up to 53". I only see them during fall migration so I was thrilled that I got some shots of one. It was crusing along the shoreline so all I had to do was wait and shoot. The light was pretty overcast so I overexposed a tad so you could see some detail on the bird. I was pretty happy that you can see his eye, which is often tough with terns.

The shots all look wonderful.
