I visted the Point of Ayr (Air) in North Wales last week. One of those frustrating places that is about 4 miles over the River Dee from my house and yet takes about 1 1/2 hours to get to because there is no direct route that doesn't involve getting my feet wet.

It is one of the best places in the region to see migrating birds - particularly at high tide, but all I managed was some Plovers and then they were a long way off. One little guy was braver and came close enough for this shot.

I really like the composition, and the little sand dunes in its environment make the photo unique. Nice job Damian.

Thanks guys. I was aided by the setting sun giving me a nice light and shadows.

Nick I was using my 400m + 2x TC - so 800mm!
