Need help to purchase Canon 300mm f/2.8

dont, DONT sell the 1.4x. as for which lenses to sell. i think the 100-400 would definitly be the most expendable. really, other than that, sell the lens you dont use the most. but hold onto the 70-200 for sure, pairs up real nice with the 300 2.8. I can tell you that you certainly wont be dissapointed with the 300, its a beautiful lens, produces great images.

So I went to B&H and bought a Sigma 300mm f2.8. I should have it by early next week. I have 7 days to return it if I'm not happy with IQ. I was reading at FM forums that it was pretty close to the Canon- I hope so.

Get rid of the macro and get some extension tubes for your 85 and 70-200 =)

congrats on the sigma.. there is a guy on an israeli photogrohy forum that uses this lens and the results are just fantastic. i am sure that you will be very happy with it :)
