I had set the light and took care of the camera settings and had my husband snap a few pics of me and my friends before leaving.

I'm having trouble figuring out the lighting on these.
There is a shadow on the left side of everyone's nose, from what I presume to be the main light positioned camera left. There are also hot spots on subject's left side (camera right). Could it be spill from the background light?

Whatever the reason, the lighting is a bit harsh. The second shot is also a tad overexposed.

I do like the poses, costumes and beautiful subjects!
