Great capture Martin. You've gotta love that expression on the horse's face in the 2nd one!

Out of interest, what do you meter off for your horse shots - dark horses, white saddle blankets etc!

To be honest I shoot raw,tv, and watch the hist, centre af, usualy I white card if I remember:rolleyes: if not then evaluative. The horses are realy moving most of the time and you dont get much time to take the shot as most fences seem to have a corner by them that stops you seeing them untill the last minute.

I suppose I take advantage of shooting raw to much:lol:

I would have some serious issues with that horse after that. nice captures. Glad the rider was unhurt. very dangerous.

Ahh, a happy outcome. Though I know from experience that there are few things more embarrassing than galloping the rest of the course with mud all over you.

Enjoyable photos; appreciate your comments on dealing with dark horses/light pads, etc. As to the rider...I have so been there! Maybe the horse was trying to teach the rider to RIDE to the fence!!! Nice to see them successful in the last shot.

Sweet! I love the $$over-the-fence-shots, but these are just so attention grabbing!
