Here is my 9 y.o. princess . Well, she is almost 10 (in December). She came from Dominican vacation with grandparents and very proud of her hair.

If if someone interested, I used 2 cheap SP-920 lights, umbrella and softbox, and Sigma 500super in slave mode.
What do you think about that "soft focus" effect? CC welcomed

I really like both shots (soft focus or not) but the busy-ness of the table grain really fights with the background, for your attention in the second shot...

She's a beauty and you did a great job.

I fixed the soft focus thing, and now , I think , that busyness is washed out a little.

Jim, It's 2 AM in New York, and i have to be sleeping already, so SF is OK for my eyes now. I'll look at it in the morning again:D

I love them both.
On image 1 pose is wonderful. Only I would like to see camera at the level of nose not forehead as shown.
On image 2 horizone is to be leveled. Again little lowering the point of camer could make this nice image, even nicer.
