Hehehe Timing had nothing to do with it. He sat there for ages like that.

Lovely shot Dale. The size of the hackles on the chest indicate that this one is possibly breeding.

WOW - very nicely done, beautiful detail, sharp. Excellent. The background works great for me too. Look at those hackels!

PS: Dale, I am assuming you used your 100-400? Did you use an extender?

Beautiful capture Dale. It's nice to see a different type of spoonbill.

Elfieh: No, I used the 70-200 without the extender. Being at a native wildlife sanctuary, it was easy to get close to alot of the birds, so I didn't even bother packing the 100-400 for the day.
