Look at this handsome chap that wandered into the garden, with his family in tow!

Light conditions are always low, due to me living in woodland!

Exposure Time = 1/100"
F Number = F7.1
Exposure Program = Aperture priority
ISO Speed Ratings = 400

These are great pictures! Forgive my stupidity, but I was under the impression England's big game population like deer had been hunted out a long time ago? I'm glad I was wrong about this! What forest do you live by?

Hi Dreamhawk

Thanks for the comments, it was a case of literally sticking the camera out of the small opening of the window and hoping for the best!

We have plenty of deer over here! Here in the Chilterns (between Oxford and London), we have the above deer, as well as 'Muntjac' deer, originating in China, they escaped from a 'nature' park many moons ago, and now roam free. They are only seen though in the south of England.

Here is a photo of a female muntjac with very young muntjac (couple of months old) and a young male

Wow, I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to animals, and I have never seen these type of deer, nor did I know you still had them in England, that is just way too cool. It's always been a dream of mine to visit sherwood forest, I bet that would be a photographic opportunity and a half! Are their deer there? Keep shooting your pics are wonderful esp #1

What lens are you using by the way?

Hi Dreamhawk, I was using the EF100-400 f4.5-5.6 IS L. It was a case though, of literally grabbing the camera, and hoping for the best. No real time to set it up for those conditions.
