Pileated WP...I keep trying!!

This fellow shows up every Fall in the evening at the bottom of my yard.
I've tried a number of times to get a nice clear shot of him.
Any movement he don't like and he is GONE!!

So far this is one of the best shots taken so far.....last nite.
I keep trying....I'm more stubborn than he is!! :mad:

He must like the wild grapes from what I've seen?

Keep pursuing. I'm sure one day your hardword will pay off. I wish i hard one in my yard. Maybe i should grow some wild grapes. :)

Keep trying you'll get the shot you want. A suet feeder might be the key to success. Good luck!

Well, well, well, there he is...a very rare capture...

Keep posting those elusive bird shots...very interesting how this bird hides from sight...grapes you say...he's right in the midst of them...

I don't know of any grapes around here except for the vinyard...that gives me an idea for birding...wonder how much they would charge to shoot on their land...maybe nothing...
