With the 1.6 crap factor, I don't believe any lens will give you the effect you are seeking. I will stand corrected if necessary.

Perhaps the Peleng 8mm might give you some roundness to the picture. If you go to POTN member activities, there's a group buy of these.

Also, do a search, as someone here posted many different examples with fisheye lenses on a crop body.

Fisheye's work best with the Full Frame thing, Canon's fisheye is the 15 F/2.8

Its not a fisheye but if you dont have a really wide angle lens already I can recommend the EF-S 10-22mm on a cropped body.

I use a 30D and 350D body and I am loving some of the shots this lens lets me get, this isnt the best example (with the blown out sky) but its all I have with a car in it that I can show as an example.

Peleng and Sigma both make an 8mm fisheye that is quite fishy even on a 1.6 crop.

You can also add fishy distortion to any photo in photoshop.

Canon 20D + grip
EF: 28mm f/1.8 & 50mm f/1.4
EF: 24-105mm f/4
L IS & 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS
EF-S:
10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 & 17-55mm f/2.8 IS

Yes, the owner of a Canon 30D can obtain the fisheye look and feel just fine. But you will have to use a 8mm fisheye lens. The most common fisheye lenses in this class are the auto-focus Sigma 8mm f/4 EX DG Fisheye and the manual focus Peleng 8mm lens. Both do a fine job; it will largely depend on whether or not you want manual focus or auto focus. I personally use the Sigma 8mm f/4 EX DG Fisheye lens.

You can see some examples of photographs taken with this lens at:
