Just thought I would through out a couple of color management sites. Both are commercial, but have some links and free items for profiling and if you dont want to mess with it you can have colorgeek do it for you.

Info on UV filters

Article from Bob Atkins over on Photo.net about UV filters. Generally speaking, almost every one does nothing or almost nothing to the light coming through. So if you wish to actually lower the UV, get the right UV filter.
