B + W 77mm UV Slim Mount...
Is it worth it to get the slim mount or stick with the standard?
Can you even put a lens cap on the slim mount?
Are these the same as the 'f-pro standard' I've heard about?

Where did you get yours with a plastic lens cap? Well it was a circular polarizer, not a UV - I thought they all came with a cap. Rick

I just recieved a B+W 72mm CP MRC filter, and it allows the use of the hood on my 20-35L and 80-200L (fits on the outside of the lens body) just fine. I'ld assume the slim version would as well... I'ld buy a 72mm filter and a step up ring 58-72mm. Way cheaper solution then getting two CP filters. I bought the same step up ring with my 72 mm B+W MRC CP. Now I can fit it to my 28/1.8, 50/1.4 and 100/2.0. Saved about 100 euro's... You might even consider just buying the 77mm filter for your 17-40L and getting two step up rings. thanks - IM ok wit gettign different sizes CP for each lens size - can't be doing with fiddly step-ups Veni, Vidi, Snappi

Can't say I've had any problems with vignetting. R5 | RF14-35 - RF24-105 - RF100-500 - EF600II
