Went out on saturday with the youth group from my church and played a game a bit like paint ball but with lasers. Anyway, I had loads of fun taking a load of pictures and here are a few..... I have put them in here cos it is more about them than the sport.... lots of challenges like the poor light in the trees and the constant movement of people.....

I know they are not stunning like most of the pictures in here but just wondered if you thought I had captured a bit of the day :-)

C&C welcome :-)

Also anyone know the best way to resize for this site? my images seem to go a little off and I have to sharpen and stuff, which looses some of the impact of the image.......

What a hoot. A youth chruch group out pretending to kill each other!

How are you resizing (what appl)? In Photoshop just save for web, set the longest dimension to 700 or 800 pixels and optimize for 99KB. It's about as good as you are going to get.

cheers bwolford. I don't have Photoshop, I am using PSP x and I just press resize and use the % to get the pixels down to under 800x800 but they go OOF and then I have to sharpen and they go all grainy like these have...... maybe there is something I am doing wrong, although I am not sure what it can be with something so simple.....

Perhaps someone will come along with PSP experience. I, unfortunately am not familiar with that program. There's got to be an easy answer...

Looks like a pretty good series of photos. Nice exposure, you handled the heavy shade well. And they look like they are having fun. Our youth group does go out with paint ball shoots sometimes. This looks a little too clean and safe, but fun.

chuckle.... clean and safe is good for us...if our youth group get anywhere near dirty and dangerous then we would have a real war on our hands... ;-)a
