Lovely shot!

I feel your pain. I have plenty of pics of my daughter solo, of my wife solo, but together? Nope. I have less pics of her and myself, mostly because I prefer to stay behind the camera.

I partially blame it on owning a 1.6x cropped camera and the 50 f/1.4 being the wides lens I own for portraits. I hear the 35 f/1.4 calling... or the 28 f/1.8... ;)

BTW. She doesn't look much like her mom, does she?! :)

Thanks. That 35 would be a very nice aquisition. Oh, and she gets her looks from me.

Great looking family, Mike.

I hope that nice woman knows how lucky she is to be getting kitchen cabinets instead of an EF 300 f/4L. :D

They were garage cabinets, not kitchen cabinets, so in a way I still got something out of it.:)

This is beautiful! I love how the light is hitting them... very sharp, crisp and the colors look so natural and real! Great capture! :)

I gave it a quick edit for you just to give you some ideas about things you can try... I really love your version, so natural and pretty.... I just love editing too and thought this one might look neat with a midnight black action to soften things up a bit... I still think I like the original you posted better..

Very beautiful girls you have there. :)

Thanks Kristy. Is there a way to adjust the image so that my wife's face is uniform in color? I like the way the shot turned out except that one part. I have been studying for a test lately and haven't had much time to try any other methods of PP on it but when I get the test out of the way I plan to edit some more shots. The wife and I got out yesterday and got some pics of just her but I don't know when I will get to edit them either.

Hi,

I think there's a large shadow on her face from the baby's head... You could try doing a fill flash action on it... I may just play with again for you later on and see...

You can download Kartin Eismann's fill flash action at www.atncentral.com (external link) I use it sometimes and it works nicely... it's applied on it's own layer so you can adjust the amount to your liking... doesn't look good on everything, but I've used in in a pinch a time or two.. ;)

Yup, I think you are right about the shadow Kristy. I need to check out atncentral one of these days as well.

I think I am going to have to get those actions. WOW! I like them very much. Thanks.
