I'm with Stefan. I really like that shot. And it takes a lot to get me to compliment a monochrome conversion. ;)

Wonderful candid shots Marie, The last one is really great. I can't help but notice on the second one, it appears to be only childern in the water which would lead me to believe that the water is mighty cold.

many thanks Stefan and Curtis
I used 'old photo' method on the last shot
the people were watching horses running up to the winning post
thanks Marlin and Kevin
thanks too Degas, Ashley and Mike and Stevie

it was getting on to evening
maybe many people had gone home ,thanks Sandy
probably the best time for the kids to have a splash in peace

in the first photo the younger lady in summer outfit and the older dressed warmly seemed at odds
(remember the other picture with the lady dressed for the sun and the other dressed for the cold ..... both together)
it had been raining with a slight chilly breeze when rounding a corner
I guess being comfortable is everything when out and about. they were having a snack with the shelter of the wall behind them
it is in Trafalgar Square London

:)

thank you all
