He's good! My body would be toast if I tried that. Great timing on the shots, too.

For the action shots, try to watch your backgrounds or use a wider aperture to isolate him. On he first I would have moved to your left to put him against the sky, metering on the concrete and letting the sky blow out so he would be correctly exposed.

for the second where you had almost no light, an external flash bounced would have been perfect.

gmen has a great thread on shooting sports <<here>> which should help with getting your exposure correct, especially with the challenging light you were shooting in.

Keep practicing!

From an ex-skater (old school 1987-1988...) great timing! but the exposure is definately laking some. See the previous post for exposing number one, and maybe even add an external speedlight, or a sigma unit to expose and freeze him while the ambient light exposes the background. And in number two it looks like the built in flash was used which didn't quite have the power to light all of the scene. Number 3 is a fun one, see what fun can be had with creatively cropping this one! I am looking at your original post and exif data (none) and do not see what gear you are using so my flash comments may not apply here... sorry

Keep it up I'd love to see how you progress as time goes on.
