It was a day earlier than Buydig told me to expect it. I have tried it out and think I am going to be very happy with it.
Here are a couple of photos...what do you think?

The first plant is known as the "Crown of Thorns" and the second is a hydrangea. I am anxious to practice more with this lens in the next few days. The limited field of vision on the wide end has me alittle concerned, but I am hoping if I just move back further I will be able to get more in the photo. I always have my kit lens to fall back on for a wider angle until I decide on a good wide angle lens...and save my money for one. That will be next on my list. I will take a look at your post Karman. Sounds like you are enjoying your new lens too. Bass, Thank you! Very, very sharp is exactly what I have been looking for! I hope it holds true when I am further from the subject. I will practice more and find out soon. I have read mostly wonderful things about this lens and I hope to find them true myself! Margie I too use the kit lens for my wide angle when the Tamron isn't wide enough. It is usually just for landscapes or group shots. Otherwise the Tamron stays on the camera 90% of the time. You will love it. Congrats. Mike, The Keeper of the Archive
