Ahahaha I like this one the best....

See what you've done Dante? Your sale of the 1DsM2 has had a cascade effect, resulting in CanonSalesmanKat hawking his 1D classic, and guess WHO just bought it?

So now I have a 5D and 1D, for awesome megapixels and full frame love, and a 1D for the AF, speed, 8fps and other associated goodies...

You bought it? What happened to eating ramen and water for the rest of your life? :):):)

wow those are nice especially the last one. Do you think the 1DmarkII is as good IQ wise as the 5D?

I would say roughly the same when exposure is correct. The 1dmk2 shines over the 5D in its application of sports photog. more than double the FPS, usable AI servo and better AF using the same lens for comparison.

Thanks Steve. Just wait until Calicokat opens those files form his new 1dsmk2 and finds he need much more ram. much more HDD space, hell a new super computer to just manage the files. No joke. Opening a raw at highest bit and size is like a 95mb tiff before ANY adjustments. He better get some more CF and SD cards stat too!!! Ownership of this camera is expensive.

...okay I just went back over my two most recent shoots...both in raw w/5D. The photos average anything from 12-14.5 mp and maxed out at 18.7. The tiff files avg. about 72. (remembering these are landscape photos so there's a great amt. of detail involved).

Dante, say it ain't so. I can't believe it. I thought your letting go of your lenses for the 300 f2.8 was questionable.

This is without question one of the &*(%# moves I've ever seen.

In fact, it's one I've been contemplating for a while now. Great minds think alike.

Wow, this was just posted 13 hours ago and it's on page 7 already!

Good Move, Dante! From what I've heard the two cameras will be exactly what you need, both newer and better for your needs. Sometimes the 1DsMkII gets this "awe" effect because it's so expensive, but if it isn't doing what you need, there's no doubt you've got to go faster fps. I'm thinking Canon will come up with a newer, faster flagship camera, but in the meantime, you've got 2 that I would love to have right now. Still aiming for the 5D. :) Have fun. Post something for us. Just curious, does this mean you have to get another bag for the extra body? :)

If you were here then we can share together to get 5D or better rather than my 1DmkIIN. It is difficult to find someone who offer that.

I am amazed that you can receive anything intact, Tareq, so far away. I'm only about 250 miles from B&H and sometimes those boxes are pretty banged up. I hope you are enjoying your new toy. I think I may have to try out a 5D this coming week to make sure this is truly what I want. Dante got the 2 cameras I was considering, but I dare say, I don't know if I like the grip. The one I borrowed on my 20D is actually lighter than I thought, but I'm probably going to get the 5D because it's FF.
