A pic I took a while ago. Added some shop to it. What do you think?

I think the ambiguity of the title lends well to the shot. It leaves the shot and title both open to interpretation, whether a soldier's life is wasted, whether he feels the lives of his comrades have been wasted, or whether war is general is a waste of life. The shot is great, especially contrasting the crystal blue of the eyes with the general dirt and mire of "war." Excellent shot and composition. I just hope he's not implying the guy's a waste because he's a soldier. That would be a very poor choice in poor taste. It is a fine photograph. The eyes show life and therefore hope. Perhaps there is hope beyond the "waste" he's feeling at the moment. The photograph does spark emotion, but the title shouldn't overpower or direct it, unless it's done for a reason that I'm trying to understand. Brice Brice

I really like the mood of the shot. Good work. Gear Listhttp://www.codastudios.com.au

I also agree that the title limits the expectations of such a poignant photo. EQUIPMENT: 40D | Rebel XT | EF 70-200mm f/4L IS | EF-S 10-22mm | EF 28-135mm IS | EF-S 18-55mm IS | EF 50mm 1.8 - flickr
