The light ,the mood, the composition , all excellent..as well as the title...any young man/woman can always do more for mankind alive than dead...

Funny I always considered those who die for our freedom as heros not as fools who wasted there lives.

sounds a little political to me..maybe it's the basic but so far unavoidable concept of war that is the waste...

Love it. & I can see where the title comes from.

Its as if he is looking at the dead maybe? The innocent caught up in it all?

I love the picture, if I understand the title correctly, I don't think this is the place for political statements.

Excellent shot and PP. The title is political, and from my perspective uncalled for. This is the reason Marines in boot camp are told that civilians are less than pond scum. They believe, for good reason that many civilians don't appreciate the rights that soldiers have paid for with there blood. I do know that not all soldiers are happy with the CHOICE they made, and do not want to be in this war, or any other. But I would hope that you have cleared this title, and your purposes for this photo, with the soldier in the photo.
You wanted to get a response, that is how I feel. God Bless our young men and women who sacrifice so far away so we can enjoy our freedoms.

I like the pic. when I saw the title I thought the piccie would be of drug addicts or something like that.

I think a good title for this shot although nicked from Band of Brothers would be "We stand alone together"

Like the look of the shot and think the title fits it well particularly in respects of his expression , when I look my impression is of an soldier from the ww2 era , the helmet looks to be old nd yet the material on the tunic look new as does the pattern ?? confuses my eye.
