Starter lens

I am new on this forum and am sure somebody has posted this already, but what would be a good starter lenes for my canon rebel XT. It comes with the 18-55mm lenes on it. I'm looking for a zoom lenes. Can someone help me out.

Welcome to the forum jlozano180.
Definitely take a look at the thread that LightRules linked. Also, it's hard to help without knowing what you shoot most, or plan to shoot alot. The last thing you want is people recommending the lens they like or want most, but might not suit your need.:)

This may not be the best place to ask, there seem to be a lot of pros here, that think $1600 L lenses are starter lenses, don't let that scare you, good shots can be had with much cheaper glass.
