tweatherred Senior Member  476 posts Joined May 2005 Location: Augusta, GA More info | Sep 28, 2006 16:09 | #5 I can't speak from personal experience, but I have heard it said that reconditioned lenses have been individually checked out and calibrated by a technician as opposed to just coming off of the assembly line and given a quick QC check, so it is certainly possible that factory reconditioned lenses would be a good deal. My guess is that the biggest drawback would be lack of selection.
