What better opportunity is there to take pictures than at the senior picnic? This was my first shoot for a school event, and I must admit, this was the most fun I ever had shooting. I didn't get just shots from the day but a personal learning experience, and to be honest, I think that was worth more than anything.

And what I learned was more about how my fellow classmates react to photographers. I don't know, for some reason, I wasn't too confident heading towards the picnic with my camera in hand. But as I would have it, my doubts were proven wrong, minus the part where one kid continuously threatened me with a "I'll f'ing break that camera" and then threw a football towards my face.

You did a great job at capturing the energy of the event. Social events are difficult as most people just shoot groups of people with no subject.

Excellent series, all the 70+ shots are good. You seem to have a good grasp on shooting group events like this, keep up the good work!

Great shots! I like #5 the best, although I'd rather see a little more on the bottom of the frame.

I definitely agree about the space in the frame. If I had the chance to do it again, I would've framed it like #3. I think I just messed up because I needed to get the shot quickly as you would expect. I don't know if I spent more than two seconds composing a shot that day.

I like to stop once aliasing starts appearing, and that's what I did. As much as I like sharp pictures, aliasing removes the authenticity of an image IMO, makinng it look quite digitally enhanced. Nevertheless, I do see where you're coming from that not all of the shots are as sharp as they could be which seems to be a result of some of them shot at f2.8.
