EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Okay for portraits?

The only way I would ever get rid of it would be to replace it with the 85 1.2L II

Wow, Tim. I love the processing on the third shot!

I got this lens to take action shots of my boys. The USM focusing is very quick and it's one of my favorite lenses.

It's one of the must have wedding lenses, so Yes, it takes superb portraits, but not group shots, as it's not wide, unless you wanna stand 300-feet back and shoot from there! :D Go for it...
