Pete, the only word that comes close to fitting this picture and your whole gallery is "awesome". Keep up with what you are doing - the HDR effect is great! Thanks for sharing

Nice work Pete...you really have a good handle on your HDR images. Love you Ireland gallery too. Is the tutorial getting anywhere close to ready? :)

I know you won't, but I wouldn't sweat anything lesmac says about HDR...a quick search shows he pretty much bags on HDR as often as someone makes an attempt at it. And hey, not everyone can like it...so nothing wrong with that I suppose.

I love it Pete. You've pegged it, spot on! I've spend decades looking out over the LA basin. Mostly from that "hill" in the far distance. It seems to have the local feel to it. Can't describe it, but it's there. Maybe it is the HDR. And what better LA icon in the foreground than the Griffith Observatory!!

That is beyond amazing, it's outrageous. An excellent example of HDR on a scale I never would have imagined. I love it.

Great shot Pete. This image really shows off L.A. Your HDR work inspires me to really work on learning the technique.

great work Pete, well worth the full size image!
do you merge the three images (high, med, low) then make a pano?

again, thanks guys.

d100763, yeah, each photo that makes up the panorama is an HDR. so, all the seperate HDR's have to be produced first, using exactly the same tone compression, before I stitch them into the pano.
