What I mean is I am in the UK and 99% of the time I see pics from other countries that are designed to make them look good. come visit us pictures.. and there all of landmarks and anything that looks good.. In my tenth year as a Full time Sports Photographer.

So if your town is so bad.. photograph it. people still want to see the bad and the ugly as well as the good ![]() So true! KIPAX wrote in post #2052479 Heres a picture of a field with no horses... is perhaps taking it to extremes ![]()

Usualy there are ducks and geese there. take your time and look for an angle. Get close. If you're lucky you'll be let alone for a bit with the horse. I'd love to spend a day on one of the horse farms I pass on the Interstate. Louisville is cool downtown - visit the Seelbach or the riverfront. The fairgrounds can give a wide range of opportunities. All of us share the danger of not seeing the forest for the trees So much "stuff" - so little time

My favorite thing to get is city-scapes. 2nd, is landscapes in general. Taken w/my S2IS. Something I hate about that camera is the metering. If you aim it kinda high, it blacks out the bottom of the picture. If you focus it 2/3 towards the ground, the sky becomes blown out. GGRRRRR
