Chestnut Teal, mating series.

Hi there,

it's spring here and the birds and bees are looking to breed here is a series I caught last week and found it interesting (yes Jan I know i'm a voyer lol)
Here are 3 shots out of a series of 6-7 shots of a pair of chestnut teal ducks, they really are an exisite bird. The males green head changes colour with the sunlight.

I was there for about half hour just taking shots of various birds then heard this bird making a funny noise.

Beauties....

Spring.....here in Ottawa, Canada the leaves are turning colors and we just got our first frost of the yr...another 8months till spring......

I had been wary of posting a similar series I took recently of a Kookaburra pair, but seeing this I might just get them processed and posted.

Nice set!, I have seen this sort of behavior in trees and on land, but never in the water, well done!

Nice behaviour set here and the 3rd shot says it all. Its all a matter of keeping your head above water
