70-300 LD Di Macro 140ish
50 1.8 II 50ish
And get the (add money ofcourse) 50mm 1.4 or the 85mm f/1.8, or the 100mm 2.8 macro?

Sep 29, 2006 00:55 | #4 LOL, seems like the decision is just as hard as i thought it was... the tele is a great lens, but i hardly use it, i use the 70-200 f4L with the teleconverters more often, so no, i dont really use it, the 50 1.8 i use about 85% of the time but always wish i had a slightly tighter crop, so i use the tc's

Sep 29, 2006 03:58 | #9 ive never used the 2x on the 50, i guess i could try it real quick, but with the 1.4, i retain autofocus
400D + 2x TC + 50mm 1.8 worked fine, retained autofocus 400D + 2x TC + 1.4x TC + 50 1.8 Lost autofocus, but captures images fine, stopped down and MF

(Excepts EF-S I know they don't work on them for sure) for canon tcs, they will work only only lenses above 135mm cause it has a protruding lens element.

Don't do any macro shots to speak of so would can that idea. Unless you do macro a lot it wouldn't make sense Relationships are like photography, it has to click.
