Before going to the Renfest last weekend we all got ready at my house (cant step yourself into that corset) and I took a few quick pics of us downstairs in my studio
We wanted to show the costume and also with the tight corset the straight shot was the "slimmest" so therefor the frontal view (I know I am breaking the photography rules again.. no frontal portraits... but I am a bad girl, I like breaking the rules... hehe)

Nonsense. A shapely woman can look great from straight on. I think the poses exhibit the costumes well.

I like the fourth one. ;) Breaking rules is what it is all about. The white background seems over-bearing to me.

Just my opinion.
You may want to try warmer or softer lighting? Then the White Background would not be so over-whelming?

I think it worked quite well. Thanks for sharing.

I just shot the Portland Pirate Festival for the local newspaper this past weekend. It was great fun. Those pirates really know how to have a blast!

I like the fourth one, the eyes are sharp and well lit. Looks like some sloppy PS work on her forehead though. number 7 has a familiar face. But next time maybe if you focused on a person in the front and put yourself in the rear, a small aperature would leave you better focused. Besides we could then see your costume better.
