Well, I can offer my only personal experience with B&H used equipment. I recently (within the last week) purchased a used B+W polarizing filter from them. It was listed with a condition of "10" so I thought I'd save a few bucks on something that will be as good as new. When I received it, though, it was hardly a "10". The threads were slightly damaged, the filter was very difficult to rotate, and there was still a smudge ring around the outside from when the last person who cleaned it didn't do a thorough job. I didn't detect any scratches, but it most definately wasn't in the condition that I was led to believe. B&H didn't hesitate in taking it back, though, so that's a plus, but I still lose out on the shipping.

I suppose you can try them out, but as you might understand, I am a little leary of them now. You can always return the item if needed, but you might lose out on the shipping unless you complain enough to have them refund that as well.
