Whether it's a 'trend' or not the shot works and that's all that counts, though I think the border is a little thick and maybe better to have even depth all around. Second shot could be really good but you chopped off her foot again ;-)a

The second shot is simply stunning. I like the diaganol lines of the fence rail and the angles of the model(arms,right leg,torso) colors are simply brilliant, red and black really work.
