Daughter hated her school pictures this year and asked me to take them for her. Guess that says alot when your teenager wants you to take her picture.

Nice job! I hope my girls ask me to take theirs, that would be an honor ;)

She brags about the pictures I take of her (although she won't admit it haha). She takes them to school and gets her friends to ask me to take theirs as well. Have done 7 Seniors this year (all free of charge - love the chance to get better) just cause of her quiet bragging.

Thanks for the comment.

Not sure where she got those eyes from but they have always been WOW. Somedays they are so blue and others they are pale blue. She has one spot in one of her eyes that is brown (she got that from me haha). My son told her when she was little he dropped her and gave her the brown spot.

Her eyes are beautiful! Almost look like they are navy blue.

I deepened the blue in the photo (per her request), but there are days, such as today, where the color portrayed in the photo isn't far off. Thanks for your comment.

She is a junior this year and has already said "Mom YOU are taking my pictures." It made me want to cry...to think that she is proud enough of me and my picture taking that she would want me to take a picture that is a milestone.

I have been doing some touch up on the photo. Lightened her face just a touch and burned the left side (burn doesn't seem like a term for lighten). I think it looks a bit better. What do you think?

Yes, I am very proud of her and how she is turning out. We have our moments, but for the most part she isn't afraid to show how proud of her mom she is...I don't think she likes me to know how proud she is, but it shows in many different ways.

Thanks for the compliments :) I really appreciate the time you all have taken to look at the picture.

Her eyes are absolutely stunning. You do take awesome pictures. There is so much detail in the mouth/lips, amazing! Did you use a prime?

My lens is an 24-105mm L series lens. My husband bought it for me so I could do just this...take pictures of my daughter and her friends. An expensive lens for just playing around...but I am not complaining :-)

Thanks for the kind words.

Yea, it is stunning.

I did think that you might be able to get the photo slightly sharper using PS. As you have Image Editing OK:
