I enjoy taking motorcycle trips and when I go for a ride I always take my photo gear. A week ago I purchased a 30D to replace my digital Rebel that had served me very well over the years. I also purchased an EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM & an EF 100mm F2.8 Macro USM to go along with my EF 28-135 f/3.5. I live on Vancouver Island where there is diverse scenery and endless opportunities for a photographer. These are two photos that I took this week while riding my Gold Wing.

The first photo was taken near Crofton on highway 1A, the Island in the background is Salt spring. The second photo was taken at Mesachie Lake; I like to call this photo The End of Summer.

Cheers

Ah, a Honda rider. How can I say anything bad about a Honda rider's photographs? ;)

The first shot is very good. I think you've captured a lot of interest throughout and I really like the mountains in the mist in the BG. Very nice.

The colors may be a bit oversaturated but I can't really tell with this monitor. Regardless, I really like that first one. The reflections are very nice in the second but it just doesn't hold my interest like the first.
