These lorikeets arebecoming more prolific in our State and area for that matter. They are frequenting the fruit trees (these are in the apricot) and eating all the tiny fruit buds. Since the devastating Eyre Peninsula wild fire in 2005, their natural feed has not regenerated to the extent is was before and in fact probably never will. Hence, the past two fruit seasons have copped a hammering from flocks of these. Makes buying fruit worth while I guess.
