The oldest surviving lighthouse in Newfoundland and Labrador is located at the most easterly point of land in Canada. It has been restored to its 1839 appearance and shows how a lightkeeper and his family might have lived in the mid-19th century. The Visitor Centre contains exhibits on the history of lighthouses and the tradition of lightkeeping. The site is surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife such as whales, seabirds and icebergs in season.

Thanks for looking.
C&C always welcome.

The skies have really been a friend to you lately Frank. Without that sky, this is a good shot. With it, it's great. Lovely colors with great detail and you've composed it very well.

Robert, thanks so much for the kind words, much appreciated.
The image was shot on the same day as my last two posts in this
catagory. So it was a good idea to take full advantage of a day like this and get in as much practice as possible.

I tried your recommendation Dimitri and it seems like it's a little tighter.
Thank you for your advice

Like this a lot, a lovely contrast of textures, tones and colours, perhaps a gnats crochet more space on the left, the lighthouse is just a bit tight in the frame.

Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colours and your images will stir the soul. - Jack Dykinga
