I need to get a polarizing filter. Just wondering if there is much difference between these two. I'm not a pro, just want a nice lens. Any feedback would be appreciated...

I think they rated the new Sigmas as the tops. If you plan to use it alot, then the more expensive ones maybe worth it. If not, a cheap one of Hoya (in green box) may serve your needs fine. Karen Karen, at the minimum you should spring for the Hoya Multi Coated (HMC). There is actual loss of light transmission on the cheapest filters due to light not passing through single coating as well as multicoating, causing some loss of contrast. The HMC pass 97% of the light that strikes the filter surface. You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost!
