Just got my new 17-40 today and had to get out and try it. Will take a bit of getting use to as I have never had a stab at landscapes before (normally a birding man).

It's a great lens, i use mine as my walk-around, it's on the camera 95% of the time.

Nice stab at a landscape - great colours!

Kind of looks like California but we haven't had clouds for awhile. Yes I'm torn between this one and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L for my next lens.

Great images! I think you'll love that lens. Its on my camera most of the time. BTW In the SF Bay Area we've got a of bridge going up in the same way...a little higher though.

I'd like to know what you think of the performance at 40mm, I wasn't too happy with mine. Maybe post a shot?
