Thanks, I'm not sure what you mean, but I was simply walking down a fence row and he landed in front of me. It was still early morning, so the sunlight was coming through the trees.

Yup, thats what I mean, thanks. Somehow, I get the mental picture of all the good shots coming from a blind where a guy sits in it all day waiting for a single shot. :D

Must be some hold over from watching National Geographic safaris on TV.

Wonderful shot ! I agree with the palm warbler I.D. The low angle light and perch are so pleasing. I only wish his head was turned to get a little catchlight.
