Birds at Crescent Head

Just got back from a week holiday at Crescent Head in NSW. The views were amazing and the birds were amazing also. I saw 14 new birds thats I hadn't seen. Here is two from my trip.

1. Is a Brown Quail. I was looking for Superb Fairy-wrens in the morning light and I didn't even notice these on the ground about 2 metres away from me. I had never seen such a bird so I got low and waited for them to come back. All the shots had grass in the foreground, I don't really mind though as I thought it gives more of an idea about there habitat.

Nice work, both the quails and the wrens are hard to get.

lovely shots justin. The wren is a bit blown out, but if u run it through ps again, you might be able to tone down the highlights (maybe a bit of levels and dodging or is it burning, i can never remember which is which). Hard to catch these flighty birds! well done.

Congrats on the new live birds. I like the photos. They are beatiful birds.

Both fine shots Justin. I'd leave the Wren as is if it were me.

I agree with Trace. The Wren has a very warm feel and I like it. You've done well with the exposure there considering the highlights.

Great shots ! The wren is my favorite. You handled the challenge of shooting into the sun perfectly. It is a nice warm shot with great detail.
